Update: DNS issues for new customers

The issue with DNS (as reported here on the 28/12/05) now looks to have been resolved and new accounts now have access to email, ccgi and webspace. The UserGroup still has concerns over a number of points surrounding this issue, namely:

  • What went wrong in the first place?
  • Why did it take so long to fix?
  • Why were most CS staff not aware that there was a problem.
  • Why had no service status announcement been made and customers not informed.

We shall be continuing discussions with PlusNet about the above and will post any developments here.
