"Ad blocked here by SPF"

I have just started receiving this message, both when trying to access some sites from Google and when clicking on some thumb place-holders, the thumbs are not being displayed either.

What I am accessing is either a genuine home page or a genuine jpg image.

I get the same thing when using IE6 or Firefox.

Does anyone know what is happening please ?

Have you recently installed Kerio Firewall? A quick Google suggests that this message is sent from Kerio when it blocks an add being loaded.

Yes, this is a Sunbelt Kerio Personal Firewall thing.  I get it occasionally when browsing.  It's fine when it is blocking just the ads but on occasional pages (especially when moving through the pages of a site when moving from looking at a "catalogue" to actually going on to the appropriate page to start making a purchase.  The Firewall seems to identify the whole page as an ad.  You can temporarily disable the firewall (right click the launch icon) and then refresh the page and it works fine.

If you have downloaded a free copy of Kerio Firewall to evaluate then after 30 days the ad blocking feature disappears on the freebie unless to but the paid up version. Hope this helps.
