Has something changed with the SPAM filters?

I keep my plusnet email address for just a few things (3 mailing lists I've subscribed to for many years, my immediate family and a few good friends) but on the 27/11 a few incoming messages from these groups started to appear tagged as SPAM. On the 28/11 all but 2 were tagged as SPAM and today all of the messages are being tagged regardless of who's sent them or where they've come from. rolleyes

I've forwarded several to notspam@despamchecker.plus.com but I really don't have the time to forward all of them so is there anything else I should be doing?

The only way to get the filter working accurately is by forwarding the false positives. If the filter doesn't know the tagging is wrong then there is no way it can fix it for you.

I saw the second message you mention but my problems didn't start in October they started this week. Up until then I hadn't had a SPAM tag for months and now all my incoming messages are being tagged including the alert from forums@usergroup.plus.com that someone had replied to my first posting!! I really find it strange that plusnet's Spam filters don't even recognise this as a legitimate source of messages!!!!!

Anyway I'll keep sending in the false positives as requested in the first link and hope that things improve!

The problems got a lot worse this week after a training session (using false positives and negatives). Since then many have complained about the very high number of false positives. The only way to fix it (other than take it out of service and start the process all over again) is to send the false positive emails.
To try and help reduce the false postive rate, PN are also only training on these, and currently and false negative reports are being ignored.

Thanks.

I see that there is now a message on the Service Status pages which is timed at 15 minutes after my initial posting. I may be many things but clairvoyant I'm not!  grin

Anyway I'm keeping my fingers crossed that things will settle in the new few days ..........

There's been an SS out about it since Monday or Tuesday, I think.

I didn't say it wasn't but the message I was directed to above was only posted after I posted my query.

Anyway you've now made me realise just how incompetent I am because I didn't check back through the archives far enough.

Nothing like making a customer feel good about themselves is there?

That wasn't the intention and I apologise if you feel that way. I was simply pointing you at the latest update as soon as I saw your post and when you commented about the 15 minutes after I located the original post for you.
