The exchange checker doesn't provide any information on fibre availability. If it did it could lead to false hopes being raised since it is availability at the street cabinet that matters.

The best source for that information is the BT Wholesale checker. Would adding a link to that be useful?

Shouldn't it show where an exchange is fibre enabled
See Wimborne for one where it doesn't but should

You have the same default text as the main Plusnet site - probably should be sorted

PN are now suggesting a 6th engineer visit for this problem first reported last November.  Heading toward farce.

RouterStats does not show any bursts of noise.  SNR margin is never > 6.

If the problem was caused by increased crosstalk as a result of more connections than before using the same high aluminium content wires, how would that be diagnosed ?

PN have now asked for a £5.99 to ship the 5th replacement router !

Thanks for the link.

Much as I believed it was.  Positively discouraged, and refuted by Support - But still in the list of available options. It seems that the current range of Residential products are NO!, but certain legacy products can still (theoretically) request multiple IP addresses.

I've raised the question internally and will push for a response.

Hmmm?  The page certainly needs a refresh to remove many of the older account types etc  blush

I know that it is now very difficult ( impossible? ) to get blocks assigned on Residential accounts, but Business accounts surely have a requirement once the business expands?

I'll seek some advise and revise the page accordingly.

Should this link be removed? http://usertools.plus.net/ripe/

PN no longer offer blocks.

Not running that but I will be looking into it now.  We have been recording upload & download speeds, PING times, packet loss & jitter.
