Perhaps it might be worth a discussion on Community to attract the people who seem more likely to have useful views into the conversation?

There is an open topic in the Feedback forum - but no responses so far?

Thanks all.

The big one for me, and one that I think would solve lots of problems is emailing a pdf.

Obviously on the community site, the debate has now got to a security issue. We email a pdf on some other visps and I have not heard (this does not mean there has not been) any concerns.

We need to address the size of the email, but generally I think it is a great win. Maybe have an opt out for those that don't want the pdf.

Luke,
I agree 100% - I think the security aspect is totally overblown but giving the opt-out capability should fix it. You could also consider an Opt-in as many/most domestic customers wouldn't want or need it.

Now changed to BBYW Option 2 and seeing what difference it makes
Wish I had changed earlier as I have seen very little difference

Hi Luke,
yes I agree that the security issue is overblown. And an opt out is a good idea.
And of course - the PDF file size needs to me watched - just don't include lots of fancy graphics etc.

Just to demo that there ain't much new and that the old PUGIT system did have a good long term memory. angel

The Multi Opt In / Out issue is also a long standing Open issue PUGIT 321 and debate here and Like PUGIT 27 (The .pdf) has also been on the PUGIT Top 5 list.

If there is some spare Dev't time going then these two would seem to be fairly good 'crowd pleasers'.

I think an opt-out (or opt-in) would be sufficient for the security risk of those concerned.

Opt-out would work quite well. As everyone would get to hear about it by receiving the email the first time. Those they didn't want to get it again, would click a link in that first email, hey presto, they've opted-out.

If the size of the email send was predicted to be a problem with the sort of numbers created by "opt-out", then you could have opt-out for business, and opt-in for home users? (but this would need the new feature well publicising to get maximum signup from those who'd want it!)

I currently send PDF invoices from excel spreadsheets at "print quality" (the lower "screen quality" is too low in my opinion). These are mainly text & borders design (in colour), with my logo in top left. They come out at about 50KB and look excellent when printed.

My biggest concern is with the phone invoices. I think there is a lot that could be improved with them. Will check the community thread, and report back if my views haven't been expressed there.
