Over the months there have been a number of queries from Users on viewing some general PUGIT stats.
Simple data could be got by using the filter on the main page, but anything more complex was tedious cool

PUG has just introduced a new PUGIT Stats page to address a few of these questions.

Still some work to do on the layout, but comments welcome.

Pretty impressive.  Well done guys Smiley

Crystal clear layout and the "10 oldest" and "10 newest" at the foot, also very informative.

Best / most concise, overview I've yet seen, of the types of things PUG deals with.

Regards,

Penny.

1. How about the 10 items with the most votes? (I know you can get this from PUGIT itself, but it may concentrate minds)

2. Could the links in the oldest and newest tables have target="_blank" added please.

With some browsers the user can choose to open in a new tab / new window without needing any code to be changed (some dislike "pop-up" new windows and it is common with advert blockers).

Will take a look soon.  Thanks for the info, Maurice.

Yup!  That's the next one to be tackled.  Running out of space on the page shocked

Can do - but see response from Ultra?  Any consensus on which is wanted?

Personally I use Middle-Click to open links in a new tab whenever I want a new tab.... otherwise I prefer them to open in the same tab.

Maybe - to make it more user-friendly and to help teach users new tricks - a little sentence at the top describing how to middle-click for new tabs in Opera/IE7/Firefox???

Any preference on the table layout - with / without  borders?  I've deliberately left one of each as a comparison.

Without a border looks better to me. It's that the borders are double lines that I think looks naff - if it were a single line I'd probably prefer with a border.

How about using the option to default to using the same window in the way Google does when going to search results (target="pugit" would do it) - do people like that?

I agree!  Category table now with single line border and centered.

If you added cellpadding="4" (or perhaps 3) the one with lines would be good.

The trouble with the higher values is that it makes the table very long - what is needed is more margin at the sides than the top/bottom. Time to play with CSS?

Sure is. grin  I focused on getting the data available and in some reasonably viewable status first.  Making it 'pretty' comes next cool
