Just stumbled across this - how long has it been there? (i.e for how long have I needed new glasses?)

This has been there for quite some time.  What happened was that the design team did some research that seemed to show blue, underlined links as being more 'user-friendly', so they rolled them out sitewide.  Lets just say that there was some, passionate complaints, from users of the forums and within a day that "Customise" link appeared to let people select how they wanted their links!

I've got mixed feelings. On the main portal pages, especially help pages containing links to other pages I like it.

On the forums it is definitely OTT.

Even Geoff took a break from the forums he was so incensed by the change!

Also, one of only 3 posts Lee S made in the hidden boards was when the change happened (he was not very chuffed to say the least)
