Is anyone else experiencing delays in mail delivery? During the course of today I've sent myself several test emails from external accounts and also from my PN account and they've all got lost somewhere.

Same here. Test emails haven't arrived. In fact, I haven't received a single email today (and I know I should have done, because some addresses I use go to two places - and the other place has got them (not using PlusNet).

We are experiencing slight mail delays. Our networks team are aware of this and are working to resolve it shortly. Apologies for any inconvenience caused. Well there you go then!

Yes an email I forward to myself over two hours ago has still not arrived, no emails at all arrived for nearly two hour period. This is a repeated problem since August. I am just getting emails that were sent to me 12 hours or longer ago, the email system is irratic and useless. I pay a lot of money for this and I am a seriously unhappy customer

This is getting annoying now... I'm getting replies to emails on mailing lists before I've actually got the email that is being replied to

Me too. I got an email saying there was a reply on a Plus discussion group, sent 9 hours before it was received. As I'm waiting for a confirmation mail for a password that I need, and it's time-sensitive, it will probably be delivered too late to be of any use. Seems like it's time to cut my losses for my domain. I paid PlusNet the renewal fee, but I need to move it so I get my mail on time.
Although, not being a p2p user and not having suffered from LLU I've been reasonably happy with PlusNet, it may be time to look for pastures new. Every day it seems there's a major breakdown in some important part of the network, DNS, authentication, portal, mail, web sites, ftp, you name it, it's failed.

Two of my domains have already been moved, I'm thinking the third one will be going shortly, I have to say... although it's my main one so it's a bigger decision.
I suspect all the email problems are all related to the same issue, unfortunately.

Just after sending my last post i received the latest service update on email. It took 2 minutes to travel to a server in the USA and back to me, and 5 minutes for me to receive it on my PlusNet account. I too suspect that email delays are related to the same issue.

I send myself a test e-mail every hour (cron, I am not that sad.), over the last 24 hours 20% of my test e-mails are missing.

I note from pn.s.s that there were apparently further problems with e-mail delays over the weekend but I'm still getting occasional e-mails that have apparently been delayed by several days i.e. since well before the weekend: Envelope-to: mikeb@my_account.plus.comDelivery-date: Mon, 06 Nov 2006 18:57:35 +0000 Received: from ptn-mxlast01.plus.net ([212.159.7.97] helo=pte-mxlast03.plus.net) by pih-mxcore11.plus.net with esmtp (PlusNet MXCore v2.00) id 1Gh9f4-0002jM-L5 for mikeb@my_account.plus.com; Mon, 06 Nov 2006 18:57:34 +0000 Received: from mltk.screwfix.co.uk ([195.68.228.172]) by pte-mxlast03.plus.net with esmtp (PlusNet MXLast v2.00) id 1GfEp8-000509-Vx for mikeb@my_account.plus.com; Wed, 01 Nov 2006 12:04:03 +0000 Content-Type: multipart/alternative; boundary="----=_NextPart_001_002A_01C00DCA.471CD280" MIME-Version: 1.0 Date: Wed, 01 Nov 2006 11:58:00 +0000 From: [deleted] Subject: [deleted] To: mikeb@my_account.plus.comMessage-Id: < h.1162380268.PM.kPt.nSs.bH5suNgh@screwfix.fwdto1.com> X-Agent-Received: from Plusnet POP (mail.plus.net); Mon, 06 Nov 2006 18:59:59 +0000 X-Agent-Junk-Probability: 0 In this particular case, the e-mail was received by PN servers around midday on Wednesday 1st November but has only just been delivered to me . There are a few others (mainly junk) but this is the worst delay so far. I also strongly suspect that I have several e-mails from various sources that have gone AWOL over the last week

I'm waiting for a password so that I can pay a bill, and it's gone AWOL. That is not funny. If I request another password that may go missing as well, and I'll have to go to the bank... not easy as this is one without a branch in my area, and they are all closed when I finish work anyway. It's only just been 28 hours so far, so maybe I should allow a few more days.. only by then the password will have expired and my bill will be unpaid and late. I'm thinking it's my fault for using PlusNet email.

I seem to be getting recent emails delivered quickly, so you could try again.
